STEPS TO YOUR OCULAR PROSTHESIS

Manufacturing

Manufactured in our laboratory, using anti-allergic and adapted materials, exactly reproducing the iris with all the details and dimensions to resemble the natural eye.

Installation and instructions

The prosthetic eye is carefully placed on your eye or in the orbital cavity. We give you instructions on the handling, care and use of the prosthesis to ensure a successful adaptation.

Monitoring and maintenance

Regular follow-up visits are recommended to ensure the prosthesis is functioning properly, make adjustments if necessary, and provide appropriate care and maintenance advice.

Initial consultation

The first step is to determine whether you are suitable for using ocular prostheses, where the condition of the socket, eyelids and orbital structures is checked.

  • The lifespan of a prosthetic eye varies depending on each individual and factors such as maintenance and natural changes to the orbit. Typically, a denture should be replaced every 3 to 5 years to ensure optimal fit and comfort.

  • The manufacturing of an ocular prosthesis includes several stages, including taking an impression of the orbit, designing and producing the prosthesis in the laboratory, as well as the adjustments and retouching necessary to ensure an aesthetic and functional result.

  • Multifocal contact lenses provide clear vision at different distances, allowing you to see near, far and mid-distance without changing glasses or lenses. They are particularly suitable for people with presbyopia.

  • Regular and appropriate maintenance is essential to preserve the health of your eyes and the quality of your vision. It is recommended to clean and disinfect your lenses daily using a suitable solution, rinse them thoroughly and store them in their dedicated case.
